UWA offers you online access to effectively manage your enrolment.
All current students go on-line to enrol through studentConnect (undergraduate and postgraduate).
All new students will be advised of the enrolment period in their offer letters. These letters will be delivered by courier in mid-January. Enrolment will be in January or February 2009. You will be advised in your offer pack of the enrolment day for your course.
If your enrolment status through studentConnect shows as Lapsed or Discontinued and you are still within the time limit of your degree, you will need to complete the Application for Readmission Form from the Student Administration website. Following the decision of the Faculty of Law, Student Administration will advise you of the outcome and, if you are successful, how to enrol for 2009.
Rule 1.2.1.33(1) covers time limits for completion of courses, whether taken on a full-time or part-time basis.
The Faculty of Law is running the unit Employment Law over the summer semester in January and February 2009.
To enrol in this just add the unit during the re-enrolment period. Select "S" for Summer in the semester code.
When you enrol online in a unit and it is identified as invalid, check whether you meet all the prerequisites. If you do not meet all the prerequisites you should either withdraw from the unit or seek special approval from the Faculty office.
You should still attend lectures, laboratory and tutorial classes marked as invalid until you've received advice from the Faculty.
If you have enrolled in either of the two quota-restricted units (Negotiation and Mediation or Forensic Advocacy), INVALID will remain on your enrolment until the class list is determined by Faculty administration.
In the majority of cases, you can change your enrolment online through studentConnect. For further details, including relevant cut-off dates, consult the UWA handbooks.

If you are planning to take time off, and are not enrolled for any part of an academic year, you must fill out an Approved Leave form on the Student Adminstration website. Submit the form to the Faculty office or to Student Administration.
You need to complete the Cross-Institutional Enrolment Form from the Student Administration website and hand it in to the Law School.
If approved, you need to ensure you are enrolled at UWA and the host university. The codes to use are on the back of the form. Most often, Law students will use the code ENRL3003.
You will not be able to add the cross-institutional unit code to your enrolment online through studentConnect. If you will be studying at UWA for part of 2009, you can re-enrol online and add in the units you will be studying at UWA. You will then need to obtain a change of enrolment form from Student Administration to add the cross-institutional code.
If you are doing only cross-institutional units in 2008, you will need to obtain a hard copy enrolment form from Student Administration. If you can't make it to Student Administration in person, they can arrange your change of enrolment by fax or e-mail.
You must ensure you are enrolled at UWA and your host institution.
You will not be able to add the exchange unit codes to your enrolment online through studentConnect.
If you will be studying at UWA for part of 2009, you can re-enrol online and add in the units you will be studying at UWA.
You will then need to obtain a change of enrolment form from Student Administration to add the exchange code(s).
If you are only doing exchange units in 2009, you will need to obtain a hard copy enrolment form from Student Administration. If you can't make it to Student Administration in person, they can arrange your enrolment via fax or e-mail. Please visit for more information.
The code you use correlates to the number of UWA equivalent points you will be studying on Exchange.
To register for laboratory and tutorial classes, use the online class registration system (OLCR). This is available a few weeks before the start of each semester. If any of your units do not allow for online class registration, you will need to visit the relevant discipline or School office or attend your first lecture for more information.
Use online timetables for all other information related to classes. If you can't find information for your unit, contact the school which teaches that unit.
